Federica Rocco(Coordinatrice)

Associate Professor of Hispanic-American Language and Literature at the University of Udine. The relationship between literature and cinema are among the themes of interest from her research and scientific production. She uses audiovisual tools to support teaching and has organized seminars on the topic such as: Children of Argentinean desaparecidos: literary and cinematographic representation of the consequences of State Terrorism, Dictatorships and cinema, Migration, diaspora, exile: the round trip between Europe and the Americas, The woman in Latin American cinema, Lope de Aguirre: from the Chronicles of the Conquest to the novel and cinema of the twentieth century.

Helena Lozano(Coordinatrice)

Graduated in Arts, Music and Performing Arts Disciplines at the University of Bologna, she teaches Spanish Language and Translation at the University of Trieste. She combines teaching with translation, in particular of novels and essays by Umberto Eco (from Italian into Spanish). Her translations include “The Island of the Day Before”, “Baudolino”, “The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loana”, “The Prague Cemetery”, “Numero Zero”, “Kant and the Platypus”, or “Saying almost the same thing”. In 2006 she was awarded the National Translation Prize of the Italian Republic.

Alex Quiroga

Alex Quiroga is a director, screenwriter, and producer. Born in Argentina, he has been living in Spain for years. He founded a production company, Alex Media Group PC, and was the first director to create a full-length fictional film about the Madrid train bombings (Ilusiones rotas 11m). His filmography includes Sucedió en España (his first work) and A nuestros héroes (his last film). In 2015, the European Association of Economy and Competitiveness awarded him the European Gold Medal for Merit in Work in recognition of his career and his contributions to the Spanish film and audiovisual industry.

Antonella Cancellier

Full professor of Hispanic Linguistics at the University of Padua and director of the “Advanced Training Course in Latin American and Caribbean Studies” (Department of Political, Legal and International Studies). She is a member of the scientific committee of research centers, journals and publishing collections in Italy and abroad and participates in various international projects. In the research project PRIN 2015, she is responsible for the Unit of the University of Padua which deals with “Testimonial literature in the Southern Cone (1973-2015): theatre, visual and performing arts”. She is an honorary member of P.E.N. International in Argentina.

Sagrario del Río Zamudio

Sagrario del Río Zamudio is a Spanish Language and Translation Research Fellow at Università degli Studi di Udine. She is part of the Department Research Project (PRID) „Literature and Cinema In Spanish: Transpositions, Intersemiotic Translations and Subtitling. She has supervised or co-supervised various dissertations on audiovisual translation. She has also written articles on the same topic, such as Audiovisual Translation: The Dubbing of Hable con ella/Parla con lei, by Pedro Almodóvar or Cultural and Linguistic Aspects in La Isla Presidencial. Sha has taken part in both national and international conferences on Translation such as VII Congreso de la Asociación Ibérica de Estudios de Traducción e Interpretación (AIETI).

Luciano Martinis

Sculptor and visual designer, born in 1946 in Ampezzo (Italia), he completed his artistic studies in Rome. From 1972 to 1974 he taught Visual Design at the UCCh in Santiago de Chile and later at the Academy of Costume and Fashion in Rome. He has been part of the theatre group Altro in Rome since its foundation. At the end of the 70’s he founded the publishing house of contemporary culture Le parole gelate.
