Synopsis:
My grandfather Daniel was killed at the beginning of the war in Colombia. Since then, several men in the family have chosen to take up arms. The most recent was the son of a cousin, who was wounded in paramilitary combat after being recruited at the age of 15. But my father built a different life. This is the hope that I wish will illuminate the life of my son Matias (aged 10) and of all of us, the children of Colombia.

She began her studies in film and television at the National University of Colombia, then continued at EICTV (Cuba) and graduated in Cinematography. DP and colorist in feature films and short films of documentary and fiction for 19 years in countries like Cuba, Ecuador, Chile, Brazil, Mexico and Colombia. “Matías’ Tree” is her debut as feature film director, the film was part of the BAM PROJECT, BoliviaLab and obtained post-production support from the Colombian Film Fund 2019.
