Synopsis:
Luis Buñuel is a precursor of the surrealist cinema, from An Andalusian Dog he kept continuous references to the surrealist postulates throughout his film career in Mexico and later in France and Spain. Buñuel's surrealist "mode" that took shape and argument during his first stay in Paris, emerges from his childhood in his native Calanda, and his later stay at the Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid, where he discovered a good part of his literary references and his creative pillars.

Javier Espada was born in Calanda. He designed the contents of the permanent exhibition of the Centro Buñuel de Calanda (CBC) where he also created an International Film Festival. He has curated multiple exhibitions related to Buñuel and cinema, as well as directing the documentaries: El último guión, Una mujer sin sombra, Tras Nazarín and Buñuel, un cineasta surrealista, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. He collaborated in the film: Buñuel en el laberinto de las tortugas.
