Synopsis:
This documentary about Diego Rivera was produced by his nephew, director Diego Rivera López. It shows the social and political impact of Rivera’s work in a Mexico rising from the ruins of the civil war. It includes interviews and a 40-minute film made in 1949 by one of the most important Mexican photographers of the beginning of the 20th century, Manuel Alvarez Bravo (1902-2002).
Biophilmography:
Gabriel Figueroa Flores is a Mexican photographer. Between 1970 and 1973 he studied Communication Studies at Universidad Iberoamericana de México, but after seeing a photography workshop by Ansel Adams, he decided to pursue photography as a career.
Diego López Rivera is a Mexican director. He won the Ariel Award for Best Direction and Best Picture with his film Goitia, Un Dios para si mismo (1989).
