A journey through the history of the Mexican cartoon of the 19th century, considered as a political arsenal in times of insurgency and resurrection.

Biophilmography:
Film director, producer, and scholar for over 30 years. He has graduated from the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos (CUEC) at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), where he is full professor and of which he was the head from 2004 until 2012. He has also studied Literature and Communication Sciences at UNAM. He has produced and directed more than 20 feature films, varying from genre to genre: from documentaries to fiction, as well as countless TV programmes. He has published more than 10 books on subjects such as cinema and philosophy. He directed TVUNAM from 2016 to 2019. Since February 2019, he is the director of Canal 22, Mexico’s cultural channel.
