Synopsis:
In Tokyo, a Brazilian author starts writing a book, inspired by some experiences in Japan and by a scene she witnessed in Rio de Janeiro where she saw a female swimmer tearing up the horizon in the open sea. The two women don't seem to be in any way connected, until their lives start to interfere with one another, strangely linked through the sea. Hannah, the author, plunges into a journey of self-discovery, while Ana, the swimmer, sees her body oddly transforming into some kind of inner Ocean.

Djin Sganzerla is a director, actress, and film producer. She has been awarded, among others, the APCA's Award for Best Cinema Actress of the year, one of the most important awards in Brazil. Ocean Girl is her first feature film.
