Synopsis:
The Krenak Reformatory, built on the land of the indigenous tribe after which it was named, was the indigenous prison of the Brazilian military dictatorship. Under strict military control, cultural indigenous practices were prohibited, causing a collective trauma. In addressing the militarization of Brazilian indigenous politics, the documentary film makes visible the return of the same anti-indigenous ideology in the far-right government of Jair Bolsonaro and his attacks on the rights of indigenous peoples.
