Synopsis:
Andrés Godoy has been a guitar player since he was very young and grew up in the poor region of Chile. At 14 yo, he lost an arm during an accident. During Pinochet's dictatorship he reinvented himself as a musician, shaping his own unique technique. A long journey begins then withe clear purpose of making his dreams come true. That journey is still on nowadays. An inspiring story about believing in oneslef which originally portrays the character of Andés Godoy showing loss and resurrection, courage and despair.

Biophilmography:Sebastian Saam was born in 1974 in Passau, Germany. He is a filmmaker for different European TV stations, mostly for the Franco-German cultural channel ARTE. His focus is on cultural, environmentalist, and socio-political topics. He has lived in Hamburg, Paris, London, Sarajevo and currently lives in Berlin. El arte de perder is his first cinematic full-length documentary filmed in South America, Europe, and Asia.
