Synopsis:
In 1958, Robert Gottlieb was forced to renounce his Romanian citizenship and emigrate to Israel, looking for asylum. Fifty years later, his daughter Yaela (re)constructs this journey, but her father's story does not match the places she knows. Family values and ghosts of the past take shape. He, from Lima, and she, from Buenos Aires, face for the first time an irreconcilable division that makes her wonder who her father is.

Yaela Gottlieb. Lima, 1992. She graduated in Communication Sciences and specialised at the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires. Her work explores photography, cinema and video production, which arise from the encounter between territory, mobility and (de)construction of identity.
Her works have been displayed at Proa 21, Arco Madrid, MAR Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival, Bienal Arte Joven and others.
